Confirmed: X Japan to record 4 music videos in Hollywood.

A website has popped up advertising that X Japan will be filming four music videos on January 9th 2010. The website says for fans to dress up and “bring signs”. It also asks fans to sign up for more information. So its not exactly clear yet if the filming is open to the public, or if the fans in the video are going to be selected by other means.
Also, and perhaps most importantly, is an asterisk declaring that X Japan will not be performing live. All music will be prerecorded.

how do you film 4 music videos in one day? lol.
i live near the LA area but I won’t be going. from watching clips of them filming the song I.V. it looked boring as hell. if i wanted to watch them from afar or on a monitor thats what the computer is for :3
bring signs and dress up? what are they doing exactly? sorry if this sounds rude but i think its kind of lame for a band to ask fans to bring signs lol. “please bring signs that say you love us, thanks!”

Since they are asking for permission to be recorded I guess people will be in a crowd watching the band ‘performing’ and you will then appear in the PV
If I lived near LA, i’d definitely go. Plus some people think it’s a chance to see how many fans would have X in the area in case of a future concert.

oh… well I guess if the fans might be in the pv it would make more sense than “hey bring signs so we can just feel good about ourselves” haha

1. Its not really uncommon for X to use he same set/backdrop etc.. in a pv. Just look at Silent Jealousy/Miscast and dont forget the film gig…then theres hide’s dice/ooblaat.
2. the site just asks to “dress to impress” so i think they mean to dress up nice..like hoow the band dresses now…snazzy, ya know? but i dnt think theyll mind some cosplay. the site also asks to brng signs is just to support the band really; its not neccesary.
I personally am going as i live 35 minutes away and hope they do a last minute autograph session..although i doubt it
maybe i can send text info/updates to TOE as the night goes like how some did for the I.V PV shooting
